Our Promise

Philly Tours is built to help people explore Philadelphia through maps, narration, compass guidance, progress, and native AR. We collect only what we need to make the app work, send newsletter updates when someone opts in, support purchases and accounts when enabled, improve reliability, and respond to support requests.

Information We Use

Location may be used while you are using the app to show nearby stops, guide route progress, power compass features, and reveal location-based discoveries. Camera access is used for native AR placement. Bluetooth may be used to route narration to headphones or supported smart glasses.

If you sign in, subscribe, purchase, submit a reflection, or contact support, we may process the information needed for that action, such as your email address, display name, purchase status, message content, or support request details.

How We Use Information

We use app information to provide tours, maps, narration, AR links, saved progress, customer support, payment entitlement checks, safety and abuse prevention, and service reliability.

Third-Party Services

Philly Tours may use trusted services for maps, payments, hosting, authentication, email, and app platform distribution. Those services process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

Newsletter and Email

Newsletter signups are voluntary. We use submitted email addresses to send Philly Tours and Founders Threads updates, including route announcements, Philadelphia history stories, civic reminders, app launch notes, and occasional product or event updates. We do not sell newsletter subscriber addresses.

Subscribers can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in a newsletter email or by emailing hello@philly-tours.com with the subject “Unsubscribe.”

Your Choices

You can turn off location, camera, or Bluetooth permissions in your device settings. Some features, such as compass progress, nearby discoveries, or AR placement, may not work without the related permission.
